NEW ERA (COOPERSTOWN) FITTED
Originally named THE GREATER NEW YORK
in regards to the established, NEW YORK GIANTS.
They were actually nicknamed "THE HIGHLANDERS"
by the media & Giant's fans. Due to the fact that they played
on one of the highest points of Manhattan. They would remain
THE HIGHLANDERS from 1903-1912. And then they would
officially be re-named the NEW YORK YANKEES(and there's
nothing more american than a yankee), the rest
is history...
